Peg Chicago, USA Thank you Magnus for sharing all this info...George I dropped in to your Photo's & Highlights of KFD site today and saw that you wanted facts. Well...as you know is my site of Kristina [http://hem.passagen.se/duvemala/] not availible in English YET but it will shortly. KFD is currently playing in Gothenburg (March 4 - April 13) and then in Malmoe (April 25 - June 15) There is a new cast. Kristina was and will be played by Helen Sjholm but a replacer named Lisa Gustafsson will play 7 of 34 performances this spring. Karl Oskar was and will be played by Anders Ekborg but a replacer named Bjorn Dalla Santa (member of the choir) will play 4 performances. Robert, Karl Oskar's younger brother will be played by a young student named Christer Nerfont. Peter Joback who used to play Robert is now playing the leading role as Chris in the musical Miss Saigon in London (till September '97). KFD has been played 243 times since october 7 1995 (353.300 viewers). Including this year's 74 performances the counter holds on 460.000 viewers in 317 performances. Then it will be a pause until it will be runned in Stockholm 1998.Hopefully with Peter Joback. I hope these facts were of interrest for you. He says: "-I dream about Broadway, I want revenge for the faliure with Chess." - "We are cooperating with an american playwriter, translating Kristina isn't easy. It isn't possible to translate directly, the language is fairly old-fashioned. I'm looking for the key, the feeling in the language." When Kristina are moving to America, Bjorn U wants Helen Sjoholm, Andedrs Ekborg and Peter Joback in the cast, he says. VERY BIG. you can read that Bj=F6rn & Benny will start translating the musical into English soon, but they are afraid it will take a long while before the jo= b is finished. They think it's very difficult to translate some of the meaning into English - it's too Swedish. But finished the translation or not they are planning to produce/play the musical on Ellis Island outside New York this summer - hopefully/maybe th= e 4 of July they say - on your Independence Day. Well, that's what was to read in the todays newspaper from Sweden. Now I have to say goodnight. I don´t really need it since I get the news from Åsa ( Yes, Ulrika in the show) but it´s nice to see that the show interests people all around the world, and not only here in Sweden. Probably me and my friends will se the show again later this spring or in the early autumn. It depends on tickets and so on. And yes, they defenately got good rewiews! All the papers were stunned. A nice thing vas that they noticed Anders Ekborg a lot. Before there was a lot of focus on Helen and peter Jöback, but now they seem to have discovered that Anders is "The best actor on stage" and that Åsa is a wonderful Ulrika with sadness, pride and a great sence of humor. I´m so happy for her! That´s all for now!
