Hiya well I guess you wanna know some more about me, else you wouldn't have clicked the last button.

My Background

I was born and raised in central New Jersey, its a love/hate relationship. The area has everything, great beaches, cel parks, Atlantic City, New York City nearby but lots of traffic, taxes, etc. Don't know if I wanna stay here forever!!!

Year 2001

Year 2001 has been the single WORST year of my entire life. Starting out with my Mom having a short battle with Cancer and then losing her in front of me. What could happen next? Yes the World Trade Center attack which I was unfortunate to witness too. I took the wrong bus on the wrong day. Luckily I made it to Brooklyn before the city was shutdown. All I can say with two serious events within months of each other, one's life sure changes in many ways with these events- both of which are still affecting me also. You just never know anymore what cards LIFE has sent for you. Dont waste you life and time on Petty stuff, Life is way too short. Do you dreams while you can, you dont want any regrets later in your life. There is more to Life than money and materialistic things. All the money in the world cant save your life or make you happy or replace someone you lost.

Enjoy Life!!! Take it and plan it one day at a time. Planning ahead these days is impossible also.

Has more about my experience that day

My Hobbies, Interest, Dreams, etc

Music, computers, archeology, nature, travel and various sciences are my major hobbies and interests and to a great degree make up my life and personality.

Music

Music is something that I cant live without. I almost became a musician - scary huh. I play several instruments and have been told I have a good music ear. But being a starving artist (and working as a waiter) isnt my idea of a career or life. My favorite music ranges from classical to rock. Such as Tchaikovsky, and such groups as ABBA, Beatles, The Cars, The Who, Will to Power , Supertramp, Led Zeppelin, The Police, Chumbawamba and LOTS more. Alot of todays music I really can't stomach. I prefer music from the 60s thru the 80s.

While my friend Maria introduced me to myspace, I was able to find out Will To Power is performing in Florida!!! I have to come down to see them... I wish they'd come up to NYC.....Their songs get alot of airplay especially their remake of 10CC's "I'm not in Love" and "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird (Free Baby)" medley which combines Peter Frampton's Baby, I Love Your Way and Lynyrd Skynard's Freebird
Also see their Official web site http://www.willtopower.net/ where you can also order their new CD "Spirit Warrior" and even communicate with Bob Rosenberg & Siddy Betancourt

Some of my favorite concerts have been: Van Cliburn, Paul McCartney, The Who

Computers

Computers. Well that my career since 1987. The industry isn't as good as it was 5+ ys ago. Too much mis-management, chaos, poor planning, politics, constant flux of changes also, and a lot of hype too. I've worked on many operating systems and hardware over the years. I've seen the good, bad and the ugly. Everything from IBM mainframes, Sun/Sparc workstations, IBM PC's and Mac's to Wang minis (yuk!!!). Many operating systems too. MVS, Windows 3.1/95/NT, Unix, DOS, Prime, VM/CMS (yuk!) Pick and Macintosh (my favorite). Also many databases too. I still love the diversity and challenges in the the industry but the glamorous projects, realistic timeframes and decent management are a thing of the past. Many sites are so behind the times its too late or expensive to catch up, so Ive seen.

Archaeology

Archaeology intrigues me alot. Egypt,Greece, the Mayan & Aztecs, Easter Island are my favorites. July 98 I finally saw the first archeaological sites hands on when I went to Cancun, Mexico. I loved it - their pyramids, astronomical observatory click here for pictures of my trip . I wanna return back there someday. I would like to see the Belize Rainforest, the impact site at Chixcilub

Nature

Nature (animals, Earth, environment, eco-systems, etc) is another field that tickles my fancy. Everything from the Rain Forests, Jungles, Mass Extinctions, Global Warming, Ozone Hole, saving our endangered species and just recently the deformed frogs found in Minnesota and later worldwide...What is our Earth telling us??? We gotta find out and take care of our Mother Earth, we only have ONE!!! Industry and government must become responsible for their actions and decisions!!!! Unfortunately this whole world is just money!!! Few have any values these days.

Travel

Travel is something I love to do also. So many places I want to go. But not many people want to goto the same places I want to. So I go alone sometimes, tell me if you wanna join me on some of these - we can save a few bucks for starters!!!!.

Places on my wish list are: Antartica (I love penguins!!), Galapagos Islands (Darwin did his work there, penguins there too!!), Egypt, Australia, London, Chile, Greece, Italy

Where Ive been so far: Cancun & Puerto Vallarta Mexico; California (all over); Reno & Las Vegas, Nevada; Michigan; Huntsville, Ala; Minnesota (loved it so clean, green and beautiful - lots of lakes too!!); Chicago (I loved it there, except the traffic!!),Florida (many times, Disney, the Cape (even saw a Shuttle Launch at nite!!); Virginia; DC; Boston; most of New England; Stockholm, Sweden; Toronto, Canada; Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands (twice); Singapore and Malaysia, Argentina (Buenos Aires & Ushuaia), and last but not certainly not least Antartctica of which I'm writing a book about the trip . I found a great deal with Natural Habitat Adventures based in Colorado

Sciences

I call myself the "Mad Scientist" and many have adopted it over the years. Astronomy is my most favorite science. Ever since I was kid about 8 I had a scope and enjoyed the moon and planets. I prefer planetary objects probably because I like objects closer to me also. Saturn is my most favorite object to observe. Its rings have me captivated and still do.

Back in 1990 I applied for a unique opportunity to use the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope as an amateur! I proposed research on Saturn's moon Titan and it was accepted and I'm still processing the data. Titan is a very unique moon with a diverse chemistry and atmosphere much like our Earth. Which was a factor in me researching it, since its right here in our own solar system neighborhood. I have a web site about my research click here for more info, pictures, FAQ's and lots more . I belong to two NJ amateur astronomy clubs, and I'm was webmaster for them also.

My childhood dream was to become an astronaut, but for reasons beyond my control it cannot occur ;-( The Hubble experience mentioned above was a good supplement, for a few hours when I watched my observation I felt like I was at Titan.

Biology, physics, geology, and chemistry are my other areas of science that interest me also. Along with Mass Extinctions.

A scary worldwide event that is happening that I'm watching closely is the deformed frogs that were found by school kids in Minnesota !! This was later found worldwide and everything from Ozone depletion to pollution to pesticides are suspected but no real defnitive cause has been found. Click Frogweb's site for more info and you can even do some volunteer work and research into this!! This site has alot of info along with this Yahoo directory .

This is like our Ozone hole, Earth and our environment which are very fragile and sensitive are being affected by something, most probably something created my man and industry. We only have one Earth and must preserve it for our children and childrens children. Industry, politics and MONEY control our world and endanger it also.

Back in March 2000 I found this new book that just came out about the frog deformities and i havent been able to put it down. Its title is A Plague of Frogs:The Horrifying True Story" by William Souder. Its a very good book tracing where, who, and how it was discovered.

Sci-Fi & Movies

Star Wars is my all time favorite movie. Phantom Menace I enjoyed but not as much as New Hope. I scheduled my vacation around the opening in 1999 I event took the day off to see the movie at midnite and even was interviewed on TV!! Back in Jan '99 I saw the Star Wars Exhibit at the Smithsonian's Air & Space Musuem in DC. It was mind boggling. Yoda, Millenium Falcon, Darth Vader suprised me with their details and sizes.

Babylon 5 is another one of my favorite scifi's

People I admire and would like to meet (dead or alive)

Napoleon Bonaparte, Neil Armstrong, Ronald Reagan, Jack Benny, George Lucas, FDR, JFK, John Lennon, Agnetha Faltskog, Carl Sagan, Gerard Kuiper, Galileo, Lance Armstrong
